Dr. Pierre graduated from Montclair State University (NJ) in 1999 with a Bachelor's degree in Biology and a minor in Chemistry. He went on to do some graduate coursework at Montclair State University (NJ), while working as laboratory technician at Merck and Roche Vitamins pharmaceutical companies. From 2001-2005, Dr. Pierre attended Pennsylvania College of Optometry, where he attained his Doctor of Optometry degree, along with a second Bachelor's degree in Visual Science. During his training, Dr. Pierre earned honors for several of his clinical rotations, including two rotations at the VA Hospital in Lyons (NJ). He also received the Marchon Eyewear Practice Management Award. Dr. Pierre is board certified in the treatment and management of ocular disease and the use of oral and topical therapeutic pharmaceutical agents. He has been in practice since 2005.

In order to provide you with the best care possible, Dr. Pierre is dedicated to keeping up-to-date with the latest technology and techniques. As part of this commitment, he participates in ongoing continuing education classes and seminars, over 50 hours biennially. He also maintains professional memberships in the American Optometric Association and the New Jersey Society of Optometric Physicians.

Dr. Pierre is multilingual - English, Creole, French and basic German. In his free-time, he enjoys spending time with his wife Carolin and their two children Noah (5) and Isabel (2). He follows most sports, including basketball, tennis, football, and international soccer.
